Perform Smart Program then Repair and Maintain Your System
Mr. Ellis has worked with many Home Owners Associations to save them thousands of dollars annually in irrigation water and to improve the appearance and health of their lawns. His expertise in understanding plant requirements and water seepage (he is a hydrogeologist) are unsurpassed in the Metro.
Some of the most common examples are an unknown location of leak or zone that won't turn on or off, however, if there is another issue you want identified, we'll do our best to meet your needs.
Installation, set up, and programming of Hunter Rain-Clik Rain sensor.
We will turn on your system, perform a quick evaluation, adjust all your heads, and then based on your approval, fix any issues which have arisen over the winter. Your Spring Startup rate is dependent upon the size of your system. Repairs (other than adjustments) are subject to our standard rates.
For irrigation systems, "the proof is in the pudding". So, after the irrigation system has been working for a few months and the evapotranspiration increases significantly, then dry areas often show in your lawn. Therefore, mid summer is the perfect time to get a thorough evaluation and perform adjustments/repairs of your system to correct those issues.
Aeration is the process coring holes into your lawn so that oxygen, water, and nutrients can penetrate deeper into the sod. Aeration can also break up compacted soil compacted and hardened by the hot baking by the sun and extensive summer use. This provides many positive benefits to your yard and helps it start of the following Spring with hearty, healthy roots and grass.
Because we don't typically get freezing temperatures below 25° until late October, we will blow out your system out zone by zone to prevent broken pipes and heads. The greatest chance for damage, however, is to your backflow preventer because it is typically exposed above grade with stagnant water in it. When these blow, YOU WILL KNOW!
Mr. Ellis will perform an audit of your yard and will use that information to replace the old controller with a new Hunter Hydrawise weather-based controller to conserve water and maintain a beautiful lawn. We'll take into account factors like soil type, plant type, and water usage to ensure your system is efficient and effective. Typical residents save from 50% to 75% of their water which corresponds to saving a few hundred dollars in annual water costs.
